Notre Dame football at Virginia: 3 bold predictions in Week 11

Irish win by two touchdowns

The Notre Dame football team is on the road this weekend, but they are still the favorites, even though they have been shaky weekly in 2021. The Irish got off to a sluggish start at home against Navy in Week 10, and against a 6-3 Virginia team on the road, they can not afford to do so in this matchup.

The truth is, Notre Dame is by far the better collection of talent, and while that does not always win games, they are playing with real fire as of late. It seems like ever since they came out of the bye week, there has been a sense of urgency, and I do not see any way they allow Virginia to ruin their chances of a sniff of the College Football Playoff.

There is a good chance that the Irish score more points in this game than they have scored in any game this season, and I could see them blowing the 5.5-point spread out of the water. This is a team that is peaking at the right time, and with a banged-up quarterback, as well as coming off allowing 66 points to BYU, this could get ugly for the Cavaliers in their own building Saturday night.
