Notre Dame football: Irish start hot for once, dominate Virginia on the road

Looking Ahead

From here, the Irish will head back home to Notre Dame Stadium, where they will play the final home game of the 2021 season against Georgia Tech. This has been an outstanding run by the Irish, who should be favored in their last two games, so there is a real chance they finish 11-1 in what was originally considered a rebuilding season.

True freshmen seem to be stepping up every week, the running back room may be the best in the country, and the defense is playing at a very high level. In fact, this is one of the better jobs we have seen out of Brian Kelly and his staff, as they lost 14 players to the NFL after the 2020 college football season, and while it has been a roller coaster, the wins are stacking up.

There are two games left in this 2021 college football season, and while their one loss could come back to haunt them, the Irish have put their head down and taken care of what they can take care of. That is a testament to this group and this coaching staff, and it has been fun to watch them improve weekly towards the end of the season.
