The 2022 Notre Dame football team could be a special one, and here, we look at the projected starting lineups on both sides of the ball.

The Notre Dame football team is finishing strong in 2021, and we have seen some future stars step up down the stretch. That is an outstanding sign that the 2022 season could be a special one, especially with the incredible recruiting class that is coming in next offseason.

The 2022 season will be one of the toughest schedules in recent memory for the Irish, as some opponents the Irish face are Clemson, Ohio State, and USC. If the Irish can finish 11-1 with a schedule this is difficult. They should be locked for the playoffs, whether they are Independent or not.

We have seen this Irish team shake off the loss of 14 players to the NFL this offseason, and while there is a lot of talent on the current roster, they will not lose that many star players. Sure, Kyren Williams and Kyle Hamilton are likely to be gone, but in the end, the amount of talent returning should make the Irish one of the best teams in the country in 2022 and beyond.

Below we will discuss the potential starters for the 2022 Irish team.
