Notre Dame football vs. Georgia Tech: 3 things to know in Week 12

Georgia Tech has a quarterback issue as well

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are struggling right now, as they are having serious issues on defense, as well as on the offensive side of the ball. Last week, in a 41-30 loss to Boston College, and former Notre Dame quarterback Phil Jurkovec, the Yellow Jackets were without starting quarterback Jeff Sims.

In his place, the team rolled with freshman Jordan Yates, who would go on to finish his first start with 126 yards passing and a touchdown. It has not yet been decided whether or not Sims or Yates will start for Georgia Tech against the Irish, so like they did last week when it came to Brennan Armstrong for Virginia, they will have to wait and see who it will be.

It should not be a problem anyway, no matter who starts, as Marcus Freeman has this defense playing at a very high level right now. Notre Dame football is rolling, and whoever is under center is going to get a steady dose of Isaiah Foskey and this Irish pass rush on Saturday afternoon.
