Notre Dame football: 3 reasons the Irish will beat Georgia Tech in Week 12

CFP bound?

Two games stand in the Irish’s way in terms of making a real case for the College Football Playoff, and I do not see either Georgia Tech or Stanford beating them this late in the season. Marcus Freeman has this defense playing at a high level, and Tommy Rees has rounded into one of the best young offensive coordinators in the country.

To lose so much talent from a CFP team last year, and come back and put themselves in a position to make another CFP run is a testament to this roster and the coaching staff. They have two hurdles left, and playing with that kind of goal on the horizon should put this Irish team in another zone mentally than the Yellow Jackets.

Overall, this is a great matchup for the Irish, and one that they should have no problem winning inside Notre Dame Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Notre Dame football is on the rise, and when all is said and done, they could have a legitimate shot to punch their ticket to the College Football Playoff with two more strong wins to close the season.
