Notre Dame football: 3 surprises from Week 12 against Georgia Tech

Total domination

While it was expected that the Notre Dame football team would beat Georgia Tech on Saturday, it was how they did that was a surprise. The Irish got out to a strong start, scoring at will against the Yellow Jackets in the first half while getting out to an incredible 45-0 halftime lead.

They were able to get the ball moving on the ground, as the offensive line once again had a day to remember, clearing holes for Kyren Williams early on. From there, Jack Coan was able to utilize multiple weapons, including tight end Michael Mayer, who was left alone down the seam for a long touchdown during the first half romp.

Notre Dame would score only ten points in the second half, but they took their foot off the gas, as Senior Day turned into one to remember for the players, and the fans. If the Irish play the way they did on Saturday, not only should they be able to blow through the Stanford Cardinal, but they should be able to stop their bowl game issues.
