Notre Dame football at Stanford: 3 things we learned in Week 13

The offense is firing on all cylinders

Looking at the earlier part of the schedule, the Notre Dame football team struggled mightily on offense, as the offensive line was in shambles. However, since the Virginia Tech game, this has looked like a completely different offense, and they are getting contributions up and down the lineup.

From Kyren Williams and Logan Diggs handling the load in the backfield to Jack Coan becoming exactly what they needed, the Irish offense has more than enough weapons to score at will. On the outside, Kevin Austin Jr., Braden Lenzy, and Lorenzo Styles Jr. have been outstanding deep, while Michael Mayer set the school’s single-season reception record for a tight end against Stanford.

All of this is working because of a revamped offensive line, and once they got that right grouping together in front of Coan and company, the offense has taken off. Of course, it helps that the defense is playing at an elite level as well, but when it comes to this Notre Dame offense, they are playing their best brand of football of the season going into the bowl game or CFP.
