There Could Be Chaos In Conference Championships

Conference Championships do offer teams a chance to showcase themselves, but they also represent a chance for absolute chaos. In a season like 2021, which has been full of madness, it’s only right to expect that something nonsensical might happen.

Alabama is going to lose to Georgia. Let’s establish that now. If, in some strange world, they do beat Georgia, then Notre Dame is eliminated. Two SEC teams will be in the Playoff. Don’t worry about that, though, because Georgia should win fairly easily.

If Oklahoma State then also loses, Notre Dame should get in. If Oklahoma State wins, but Cincinnati or Michigan lose, which is very possible, the Notre Dame should make the Playoff. Those are reasonable scenarios.

There are a million scenarios you can run through, and a ton of them are good for Notre Dame’s chances going forward. So, root for chaos going forward. It’s what’s best for Notre Dame going forward.
