The Notre Dame football team could have plenty of players selected in the 2022 NFL Draft, and one recent one had six going across 7-rounds.

Last offseason, the Notre Dame football program lost 14 players to the NFL, some through the 2021 NFL Draft, and some as undrafted free agents. That was a strong haul of Irish players entering the league, and we have already seen a few of them get off to fast starts to their NFL careers.

This offseason, the Irish are poised to lose another chunk of elite players from the program, including possibly the best defensive back in the entire country. While Kyle Hamilton is a no-brainer to be selected next April, there are a few prospects who played their way into possibly being at least Day 2 picks in 2022.

Overall, this is a special group that is leaving South Bend, and one that won themselves a ton of games playing for the Irish. Notre Dame football will adjust to these players leaving and have more than enough depth to soften the blow, which is life when you are a powerhouse program like the Irish are.

In a recent mock draft by Ian Cummings of Pro Football Network, the Irish see six players land across the 7-round event, including their first Round 1 pick in three years.
