Notre Dame football: 6 Irish selected in latest PFN 7-Round Mock

First Round

Round 1, Pick No. 11: Kyle Hamilton, Philadelphia Eagles

The first Notre Dame football star off the board in Cummings’s mock draft is Hamilton, who is widely regarded as one of the more NFL-ready players in this draft class. Possessing a rare blend of size, speed, and athleticism, Hamilton is going to be a Day 1 starter at the next level, and will most certainly be leaving South Bend early, as he still has eligibility to return.

The team Hamilton lands with, the Philadelphia Eagles, are in a great spot to really improve their roster this April. The Eagles hold three first-round picks in the 2022 NFL Draft, and in this mock, he is the first of those three selections, improving a position group that is a real weakness immediately for the Birds.

Philadelphia plays in an NFC East where there has been no continuity, as it has not seen a back-to-back division winner in years. That bolds well for the Eagles, who have the draft capital to really improve this roster, and in Hamilton, they get a player who could have a Derwin James-like rookie season at the next level.
