The Notre Dame football team brought in an incredible 2022 recruiting class, and here is who will make an immediate impact in 2022.

Recruiting is the lifeblood of any college football program, and Notre Dame football is no different. That’s why so much is made out of National Signing Day and changes that have occurred, like adding the Early Signing Day. This is also why it was so important to keep staff continuity once Brian Kelly left, otherwise large portions of the class could have been lost.

It’s not just about recruiting a few key players either, but bringing in as much talent as possible that you can easily replace key starters. Just think about Kyle Hamilton going down for injury. That could have entirely disrupted the season, leaving the secondary exposed, if Notre Dame didn’t have talented players behind him.

Back in 2018, when Julian Love missed the second quarter of the Cotton Bowl against Clemson, the Irish didn’t have the depth of talent to recover from it. It cost them the game, and developing better depth of talent is a major concern for Marcus Freeman moving forward.

Programs like Notre Dame bring in incredibly talented classes, and the Class of 2022 is no different for the Irish. According to 247 Sports, Notre Dame has the 7th ranked class in the country following the Early Signing Day. Only Texas A&M, Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Texas, and Penn State are ahead of them.

With this, the Irish can expect several of their new signees to make some sort of impact right away. Here are a few of those players:
