Notre Dame football signings who could make an immediate impact

Eli Raridon, Tight End

Eli Raridon looks to have an excellent shot to be the next great Notre Dame tight end. In case you weren’t paying attention the Irish have a proud legacy at tight end to live up to, but Raridon has as good a shot as anybody to do so.

Raridon is a four-star recruit, and 247 Sports has him as the second-ranked tight-end recruit in the country. The difference between one or two in a recruiting ranking is very small, so you can expect little difference from those spots. Raridon chose Notre Dame over Iowa among several other schools.

There is a good chance that Notre Dame fans see Eli Raridon as early as next season at tight end for the Irish. He’s 6ft 6in tall, with the size of a college tight end before he’s set foot in Notre Dame’s strength and conditioning program. The upside that he has is incredible. Then, balance this out with what Notre Dame likes to do on offense.

They rely on their tight ends, often using two tight end sets. So, while Michael Mayer is still the top player for another season, expect Raridon to get some action too.
