4 things that should be on the Notre Dame football team’s Christmas List
Returning Players
Heading into their Fiesta Bowl matchup with the Oklahoma State Cowboys, the Notre Dame football team learned that they would definitely be without two of its stars. It was pretty obvious that Kyle Hamilton would not be with the team, as he has been hurt since the USC game, is a potential top-5 pick, and would be coming off a significant injury, threatening his draft status.
However, Kyren Williams missing the game was a bit more surprising, but also to be expected, as many consider him a top-3 running back in this draft class. Williams has been outstanding as the feature back for the Irish the last two seasons but is leaving the position group in great shape with guys like Chris Tyree, Audric Estime, and of course, Logan Diggs to take over.
Looking at the rest of the draft-eligible stars on this team, the Irish should be hoping that at least some come back for another go-around in 2022. Players like Jarrett Patterson, Isaiah Foskey, Kevin Austin Jr., and Braden Lenzy are all potential draft picks, but could also return to raise their draft stock with one more solid season of college football.
