4 things that should be on the Notre Dame football team’s Christmas List

A Fiesta Bowl victory

Staying in the present, the No. 1 thing that has to be on every Christmas List for those who either play for or love the Irish, is a win against Oklahoma State in the Fiesta Bowl. The Notre Dame football program has earned this spot in a New Years Six bowl game, winning their last seven games, and doing so in dominating fashion.

Sure, being without Williams and Hamilton is a challenge, but they have not had Hamilton for quite some time, and I believe that Diggs and company can handle the load with Williams gone. Jack Coan has proven to be as effective as any quarterback in the country down the stretch, playing behind an offensive line that is beaming with confidence since the Virginia Tech game.

It has been a long time since the Irish have been able to come away with a big victory in a big spot outside of the regular season, but this could be the year. This is a team that is going to be fired up, looking to notch the first win for head coach Marcus Freeman, while setting the stage for a dominant 2022 campaign.
