The Notre Dame football team takes on Oklahoma State in the Fiesta Bowl, and here are three things to keep an eye on in the matchup.

The Notre Dame football team has one more hurdle to leap this season, and that will be the Oklahoma State Cowboys in the Playstation Fiesta Bowl. The Irish have had a magical run to close the regular season, winning seven straight, and will now look to put the exclamation point on what has been a very exciting campaign.

Here, we look at three things to keep an eye on in the matchup.

Jack Coan’s final Irish start

Coming to the Irish last offseason, Jack Coan was expected to come in and be a bridge between the departed Ian Book, and whoever the next long-term solution would be at the quarterback position. After a shaky start to the year, one that had him running for his life nearly every time he dropped back to pass, Coan became just that, becoming an anchor for this Irish offense during their incredible run to close the season.

Now, he makes his final start as the start for the Irish after pushing this program back into the national spotlight, finishing just outside of the final four for the College Football Playoff. He has been a pleasure to watch, and I believe he did enough this season to warrant being a Day 3 NFL Draft pick next year.
