Win the defensive battle

One of the key storylines going into this matchup is the fact that both teams boast some terrific defensive units. While the Oklahoma State Cowboys will be without defensive coordinator, the players remain, including an impressive group upfront, and some of the best safeties the Big 12 has to offer.

Notre Dame counters with an outstanding group on defense as well, as Marcus Freeman really has gotten the most out of this crew since the bye week. They have been one of the best in the country, going three straight games without allowing a touchdown, and in this one, it could be that whichever defense plays better, wills their team to the victory.
