Notre Dame football: Expectations for the Irish against Oklahoma State
Two-plus turnovers from Spencer Sanders
In the Big 12 title game, Oklahoma State quarterback Spencer Sanders tossed four interceptions, and across his last two games, he has thrown the ball to the opposite team six times. That is a pretty atrocious statistic for someone who had only six interceptions going into that two-game stretch, so maybe something is off with their starting quarterback.
Against the Irish, he will be facing a veteran-laded defensive line, one that is known to get pressure in the middle of the offensive line, and coming off the edge. Isaiah Foskey has ten sacks this season, but he is not the only one who can get after the quarterback, as he is one of 16 members of this Irish defense to notch a sack this season.
Also, the Irish have veterans at the linebacker position, making them very hard to move the ball against on the front two levels. The secondary, although lacking Kyle Hamilton, is an opportunistic bunch, and they will benefit from the Irish making Sanders uncomfortable, which should lead to multiple turnovers.
