Notre Dame football: Expectations for the Irish against Oklahoma State

An Irish victory

The Notre Dame football team goes into this game as 2.5-point favorites against the Oklahoma State Cowboys, and are riding a seven-game winning streak. Also, they have the added excitement of playing under their brand new head coach, Marcus Freeman, for the first time, a coach that nearly every player, recruit, and alumni wanted to get the job.

Jack Coan is playing effective football right now, the defense has been out of its mind, and the offensive line is healthier than it has been the entire season. Sure, the Cowboys are a solid team, but the Irish look like a juggernaut right now and are looking to change the narrative surrounding the program after losing so many big-time bowl games, and College Football Playoff appearances.

For Freeman, this would be victory No. 1 as head coach of the Notre Dame football team and send this program into the offseason with a buzz surrounding them. This is a game the Irish could certainly win, and in the end, I believe that they leave StateFarm Stadium with their eighth straight victory.
