Jarrett Patterson, Interior Offensive Lineman

There were a lot of question marks surrounding the Notre Dame offensive line heading into the 2021 season, as the team saw four starters from last year’s team go to the NFL. Those four were crucial in the team being Joe Moore Award finalists, and they have all made an impact at the next level in their rookie seasons.

The only starter from last year’s team to return in 2021 was Jarrett Patterson, the team’s center in 2020, and one who was rumored to possibly move outside to offensive tackle. Patterson stayed at center, and was once again one of the best in the country, serving as an anchor for an offensive line that really struggled to start the 2021 season.

The Irish ended up revamping the offensive line, adding quality talent around Patterson, and the group as a whole became one of the best in the country. Patterson is a guy who is also rumored to be a Day 2 pick in 2022, and also someone who has yet to declare, but we could be seeing him in the Blue and Gold for the last time on Saturday.
