Notre Dame Football: 5 wide receivers to target in the transfer portal

No. 1 and 2

1. Qadir Ismail Junior WR Villanova

Qadir Ismail switched positions in 2021 and could be in for a monster season in 2022. The former quarterback in his first season as wide receiver for the Wildcats had 11 receptions for 182 yards as a Junior.

He is 6-foot-6, weighs 225 lbs, and ran a 4.4 in the 40-yard dash. He has the potential to be a big-play threat for the Irish and he is the nephew of Rocket Ismail, one of the greatest wide receivers in program history.

2. Mario Williams Freshman WR Oklahoma

Mario Williams was a highly respected recruit coming out of High School. The 5’9″ 186 lb Freshman had 35 receptions for 380 yards and 4 touchdowns in 2021, but with his head coach, Lincoln Riley heading to USC, he is another big-time player hitting the portal.

Williams would be a top-of-the-depth chart player for the Irish, bringing not only big-play ability, but a lot of depth for quarterback Tyler Buchner, or whoever is under center next season.
