Notre Dame football has a 2023 recruiting class that is loaded on defense, here are four big-time commitments they’re in pursuit of on offense.

The Notre Dame football program is already stacking talent for their 2023 recruiting class, and they have got early commitments from some elite defensive players. Here, we look at some offensive targets for that class that could be program-changing recruits.

Notre Dame Football: 4 program-changing recruits to target in 2023

Jackson Arnold, QB: Denton Guyer (TX)

One of current Notre Dame safety commit Peyton Bowen’s teammates, Jackson Arnold, is considered a top 10 quarterback in his class. Jackson is rated the best quarterback in Texas, a state known for producing some of the best in the country. Jackson can quickly spread the ball throughout the field as a big-time player with a big-time arm.

247 Sports has him just outside the top five at number six in his class, and for a good reason. Arnold completed 296 passes for 3921 yards and 34 touchdowns through the air in 2021. While he won’t necessarily blow anyone away with speed, he can certainly move the ball along the ground. Last year, he produced 659 yards rushing to go along with 12 touchdowns.

Though his team fell just short in the Texas 6A-Division II state title game, Arnold and Guyer will be back and better than ever. He holds offers from Ohio State, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Florida. Even with some powerhouses after the incredible QB recruit, Notre Dame must like their chances, and landing Peyton Bowen will only help their cause.

With another year under his belt, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Jackson move into being a top 5 recruit at his position. Tommy Rees would love to get Arnold to Notre Dame and boost the quarterback room immediately.
