Notre Dame Football: 4 program-changing recruits to target in 2023

Duce Robinson, TE: Pinnacle (AZ)

Duce Robinson is the unanimous number one tight end in all high school football. At 6’6” and 225 pounds, Robinson will turn heads as a freshman. With Michael Mayer, aka “Baby Gronk,” still around for one more year, Duce could transition right in.

"“The 35-inch arms that he has give him the advantage of a tremendous catch radius that is coupled with an impressive vertical to high-point the ball in traffic and on 50/50 balls along with having soft hands” – Chris Singletary, 247 Sports, National Recruiting Expert"

While there doesn’t seem to be the best read on his recruiting process currently, “Tight End U” figures to be involved. His offers range from Arizona and ASU to Clemson and Georgia, with 24 in total. His offer list will undoubtedly grow as we near signing day in 2022, but the Irish will be a player throughout.

As with all the guys previously listed, Duce isn’t the be-all-end-all for Notre Dame. However, the Irish have a bright future with plenty of highly talented guys on the roster and recruits coming in. Tyler Buchner, Lorenzo Styles, Deion Colzie, Cooper Flanagan, Eli Raridon, Holden Staes, Steve Angeli, Tobias Merriweather, and loads of others are poised to have massive roles for Notre Dame.

It never hurts to increase the talent level on your roster and push the competition in the respective position groups. Healthy competition only makes for better all-around performance.
