The Notre Dame football team is getting star edge rusher, Isaiah Foskey, back for the 2022 season, and should have his sights set on Justin Tuck.

The Notre Dame football team was one of the best teams in the country this past season, winning 11 games, and challenging for a spot in the College Football Playoff. On defense, Notre Dame was outstanding on all three levels, going weeks without allowing a touchdown, and finally seeing production all over the field.

In 2022, the Irish defense has a chance to be elite once more, as there is a bunch of talented players coming back, and a strong recruiting class coming in. It seemed once the 2021 season ended that the roster would be stripped down due to the fact so many players were deemed draft prospects, and could leave despite having eligibility left, but many have returned.

One of those many is edge rusher Isaiah Foskey, the Vyper on this Irish defense, and someone who broke out in a big way last season. Foskey stepped into his new role and flourished, racking up eleven sacks to go along with a school single-season record of six forced fumbles.

This season, Foskey should have his sights set on putting his name once again in the school’s record book.
