Notre Dame football: Isaiah Foskey has shot at Justin Tuck’s record

Records in sight

Throughout his two years with the Irish, Foskey has generated 15.5 sacks, which is just outside the top-10 in school history for a career. In fact, he only needs nine sacks this upcoming season to become the all-time sack leader at the school, a record currently held by Super Bowl champion Justin Tuck.

In his career, Tuck not only had 24.5 sacks, but he also holds the single-season record of 13.5, another mark that Foskey should have his eyes set on. During that 2003 season, Tuck went nuts against Stanford, racking up four sacks, and he also had 3.5 against Pittsburgh.

Foskey coming back is huge for this Irish team in so many ways, as he is a leader both on and off the field. If Notre Dame football is to get back to the College FOotball Playoff after a year outside of it, they need another season from Foskey like they did in 2021, and just maybe, him setting a few more records is in the cards.
