Notre Dame football: Most exciting 21 moments from the 2021 season

No. 4: Kyle Hamilton’s INT vs Florida State

Players like Kyle Hamilton do not come along very often, and in the team’s opening game against Florida State, he put the entire country on notice. Sure, he made his presence felt in the first half, with the Irish down 14-10, he nabs his first interception of the season.

However, it was his second-half interception that really stood out, as he came across the entire field to grab another pick before going out of bounds. It was the kind of play that showed just how athletic he is from his safety position, and while he is considered one of the top draft prospects this season.

The Irish were able to come away with the key Week 1 victory against Florida State, and the play of Hamilton was a big reason why. If Hamilton has played in the Fiesta Bowl, I believe the outcome would have been completely different, and against the Seminoles, he not only put his stamp on the game but on his final season at the collegiate level.
