Notre Dame football: Most exciting 21 moments from the 2021 season

No. 21: Irish dominate the first half against Georgia Tech

It started early on against Georgia Tech, as the Irish got a Jonathan Doerer field goal on their first drive, and would take a 10-0 lead when Jack Kiser got a pick-six five plays into the Yellow Jacketsโ€™ first drive. After a Georgia Tech punt, Notre Dame would go 65 yards in nine plays, capping that drive off with a nine-yard touchdown run by Kyren Williams.

With five minutes left in the first quarter, Notre Dame had already gone up 17-0, but the party was just getting started. In fact, Notre Dame football would score a touchdown on their next four drives of the first half, and when Georgia Tech missed a field goal to close the second quarter, the scoreboard read 45-0 in favor of the Irish.

Yes, 45-0 at the half, an incredible display that features both Williams, and backup Logan Diggs finding the end zone twice. Michael Mayer had a beautiful 52-yard touchdown catch from Jack Coan, and it was already time to call off the dogs by the time the teams went to the half.

In the third quarter, Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa capped off Senior Day by scoring on a 70-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown, putting the final touches on a 55-0 Notre Dame victory.
