The Notre Dame football team may not be in the market for Arch Manning, but there are some 2023 QBs they should be targeting.

In 2022, the Notre Dame football team once again moves on from a starting quarterback, which will be the second straight year they have had to do so. Ian Book graduated and was drafted by the New Orleans Saints after the 2020 college football season, and Jack Coan is done in South Bend after one year as a graduate transfer.

Both players left big shoes to fill, and while Coan was a one-year stopgap, the expectation is the next quarterback could be a multi-year starter. One name to keep an eye on is Tyler Buchner, the presumed starter when we head to camp in the spring, and one who flashed signs of brilliance during his playing time as a true freshman.

There is also Drew Pyne returning, as well as Steve Angeli coming in as a true freshman, so the quarterback room is certainly not empty. It will be one of the more interesting position groups to watch this offseason, and whoever gets the job will be tasked with navigating a tough schedule in 2022.

With that said, the Irish should not be complacent when it comes to the position group, and here are two quarterback targets they should be all-in on in 2023.
