Latest NCAA seeding projections for Notre Dame basketball and other ACC teams

The Notre Dame basketball team is starting to pick up steam in terms of bracketology, and here is where they land in some recent bracket projections.

The Notre Dame basketball team is one of the hottest in the country right now, and the national media is starting to take notice. They have only two losses in their last 14 games, and in that span, they have put together some crucial wins within the ACC.

In fact, with a win on Wednesday night, Notre Dame basketball will move into first place in the conference, a huge accomplishment for a squad that struggled early on this season.

Taking a look at where the Irish and other teams are currently projected, we used four sources. The four sources are CBS, ESPN, On3, and Bracket Matrix, which looks at over 100 brackets.

Within the Matrix, nine ACC teams are projects by at least one outlet to make the NCAA Tournament, and here, we look at where the Irish land.

Bracket Matrix has the Irish average at 11.22, making Notre Dame the second-highest 12-seed.

ACC Notes

  • Duke is the highest-seeded team in the conference, with the Matrix giving them an average of 2.53, the lowest-ranked No. 2 seed
  • Wake Forest is second in the ACC in terms of the brackets, coming in with an average of 9.65
  • Miami and North Carolina rank above the Irish, even though Notre Dame has beaten both teams this season.
  • Virginia, Florida State, Virginia Tech, and Clemson appear in three-or-fewer of the 100 brackets measured
