Notre Dame football 2022 recruiting class by the numbers: 17

Players come from 17 different states

When it comes to recruiting, the one thing you have to love about this Notre Dame football program is that they get players from everywhere. The 2022 class is no different, as out of the 21 players they are bringing in, the collection of talent represents 17 states, which is a pretty astounding number.

Led by the likes of Indiana, New Jersey, and California, the Irish reach spans from the east coast shores of Bergen County, NJ, to the west coast, and Mission Hills, California. Being able to recruit everywhere is something that all the major programs do, as the lower-level FBS schools tend to pack their roster with local talent.

Notre Dame football needs to be able to go coast-to-coast if they hope to crack a top-5 recruiting class every season, and this group does exactly that. No matter where the talent is, Freeman and his staff are going to find you, giving them a distinct advantage when it comes to high-level recruitment.
