Notre Dame football 2022 recruiting class by the numbers: 4

4 recruits were top-10 at their position group in the country

When it comes to recruiting at the level that the Irish do, you cannot just recruit for quantity. In fact, the good thing about this recruiting class is not in the number of players, which stands at 21 total, but in the quality of players, something that will help take this program to new heights.

Starting with Jaylen Sneed, who is regarded as the No. 2 overall linebacker in the country per 247Sports, the Irish have four recruits coming in who are ranked in the top-10 at their respective positions in the country. At linebacker alone, the Irish not only have the No. 2 guy in Sneed, but also the No. 9 backer in Joshua Burnham, two guys who are going to be anchors on this defense for a long time.

Outside of the two linebackers, Billy Schrauth is not only the No. 2 rated player in the state of Wisconsin but the No. 7 interior offensive lineman in the country. Rounding out these four elite players is tight end Eli Raridon, who suffered a torn ACL back in December, but is still regarded as the No. 5 tight end in the country.
