The Notre Dame football team continues to stack talent at linebacker, and have a brilliant mind for the position group as head coach.

Notre Dame football head coach Marcus Freeman is an incredible talent when it comes to coaching up the linebacker group. A former linebacker at Ohio State, as well a short stint in the NFL on practice squads, Freeman has been considered one of the elite linebacker coaches in college football for years now.

In fact, before landing at Notre Dame as the defensive coordinator and linebackers coach, Freeman was offered jobs at the NFL level coaching up the position group. Last season, we got to see in action how good a coach Freeman was, especially with the linebacker group, as it became one of the best in the country.

Now, Freeman is loading up talent across the 2022 and 2023 recruiting classes, and the Notre Dame football program could become a factory for producing NFL linebackers. Freeman has a ton of talent to work with in 2022, and more elite players coming via the 2023 class, so this position group is going to be deep and elite moving forward.

Let us look at the position group as a whole in 2022 and beyond.
