The Notre Dame basketball team can get back into first place in the ACC with a win at home against Boston College tonight.

It has been a magical run as of late for the Notre Dame basketball team, as they have won all but three of their last 17 games. That has catapulted them up near the top of the ACC, a conference known for sending many teams into the NCAA Tournament every year.

Thanks to strong play up and down the lineup, the Irish have looked like a tournament team for some time now, and based on the makeup of the roster, they could be in for a deep run. They are fresh off a blowout victory over Clemson their last time out, on the road, and will now return home to the friendly confines of Purcell Pavilion to take on the Boston College Eagles.

Tonight, they look to get back into a tie for first with Duke at home against Boston College.

I do not like this one to be close, especially with the Irish being at home, a place they have lost only one game this season. Blake Wesley has regained his shooting touch, and with this roster, you know that any of the starting five can go off for 20-plus points on any night, and the Eagles are a sitting duck right now.

Boston College is one of the worst teams in the ACC right now, and with a chance to tie Duke in first place, Mike Brey is going to have his team ready. Boston College has lost three straight, and have been an atrocious 1-7 on the road this season, a trend that will continue tonight against this red-hot Notre Dame basketball team.

When all is said and done, I like the Irish beat the Eagles by ten-plus points tonight.
