The Notre Dame football team is loaded on both sides of the ball heading into the 2022 season, and here are the top offensive players returning.

Going into the 2022 college football season, there is a lot to like about this Notre Dame football team. Head coach Marcus Freeman has put together an incredible staff of assistant coaches, and they return a bunch of elite players on both sides of the ball.

When it comes to the offense, there is a lot to like, as the running back room is loaded, there is elite talent up front along the offensive line, as well as some playmakers at wide receiver. The Irish also have the best tight end in the country, and when you look at the sample size from quarterback Tyler Buchner last season, you have to be excited about what he brings to the position group.

For the Irish to take care of business this season, they have to be consistent on the offensive side of the ball, something they struggled with early in the 2021 season. Buchner will have to earn the starting quarterback job over Drew Pyne and Steve Angeli, and if he does, he needs to continue to progress at the position.

Here, we look at the best offensive players returning in 2022.
