The Notre Dame football team returns their entire starting offensive line from last season, and they could be in for a special 2022 campaign.

The Notre Dame football team had issues along the offensive line early in the 2021 season, especially when Blake Fisher went down with an injury in the first game. The Irish were replacing key offensive linemen from the year before, a group that was a finalist for the Joe Moore Award, so there was going to be some growing pains.

However, the Irish started to improve upfront as the season wore on, especially after they found Joe Alt was more than capable of holding down the left tackle spot. He and Andrew Kristofic joining the starting lineup instantly improved the group up front, and from there, the team made a legitimate run to the College Football Playoff.

In 2022, the Irish are in a much better position than they were a year ago, and with the return of Harry Hiestand as the position coach, a Joe Moore Award could be in the cards this season. The Irish came together as a team down the stretch last season and will be looking to take the next step forward this year under new head coach Marcus Freeman.

One thing is for sure, the offensive line is good enough to dominate any matchup in the trenches.
