Notre Dame football: Irish 2022 offensive line could be special

The future is bright

Not only do Spindler, Fisher, and Alt return as true sophomores, and keys to this offensive line in 2022 and beyond, but the 2022 recruiting class is loaded as well. Incoming true freshmen like Aamil Wagner, Billy Schrauth, Joey Tanona, and Ty Chan were all four-star talents, and provide the Irish with incredible depth at offensive tackle, and in the interior.

They also have the premier position coach in Hiestand, who helped many Notre Dame offensive linemen eventually reach their NFL potential. The Irish are going to be strong upfront in 2022, and for the foreseeable future, as the program continues its run as “Offensive Line U” when it comes to producing NFL talent.

With a question mark at quarterback, and Kyren Williams gone as the feature back, the offense is going to have some new faces at the skill positions dotting the starting lineup. Luckily for them, the offensive line is going to be one of the best in the country and should lead this program to another playoff run.
