The Notre Dame basketball team looks to get back on track tonight, as they play host to the Syracuse Orange inside Purcell Pavilion.

In another must-win game for this Notre Dame basketball team, the Irish come back home to Purcell Pavilion, a site that has seen them go 11-1 this season. The only loss, to a top-10 Duke team, was a blemish on what has been an outstanding season for the Irish, and one they must finish strong.

Looking ahead to the NCAA Tournament, Notre Dame basketball can punch their ticket with a championship in the ACC Tournament but should be at least an at-large bid if they can close out the regular season with four straight wins. They have very beatable opponents coming up on the schedule, and with three of their final four games at home, they should be able to take care of business.

Tonight, they can continue their push to be a single-digit seed in the NCAA Tournament.

The pressure is on Notre Dame in this one, as the Orange are playing much better basketball as of late, winning seven of their last ten. They are led in scoring by Buddy Boeheim, who happens to be the coach’s son, and they are also strong on the glass, averaging nearly ten offensive rebounds per game.

For the Irish, they need to get back to doing what they do best, and that is spreading the basketball around. In their last game, a loss on the road to Wake Forest, Blake Wesley went off, scoring 24 points as he continues his magical true freshman season.

Tonight, the Irish need all hands on deck, and they should be able to find their rhythm against the Orange’s vaunted zone defense.
