Running Back

  1. Logan Diggs
  2. Chris Tyree

The running back room for the Irish took a hit with Kyren Williams leaving for the NFL, but there is a ton of talent coming back in 2022. The head of the class right now has to be Logan Diggs, who was the clear No. 2 behind Williams this past season, and showed that he can be a productive player on the ground and through the air.

Behind him entering spring practice is Chris Tyree, a junior who has shown to be a playmaker at times during his collegiate career. He has yet to shoulder the load for the Irish, as Williams stood in his way of becoming a starter, so he will have a chance to unseat Diggs as the RB1 as we go through the spring and summer months.

There is also some solid talent behind these two players as well, with Audric Estime entering his second season in South Bend, and being a player who is turning heads this offseason. Jadarian Price is entering the program as a true freshman and has talent, but he is not likely to play a big role for the Irish in Year 1 unless the position group is decimated by injuries.
