Notre Dame football: All-Irish 2022 NFL Mock Draft after the Combine

Round 3, Pick No. 91: Kyren Williams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

One player who did not fare quite as well at the 2022 NFL Combine was Kyren Williams, who posted a 40-yard dash time that left a lot to be desired. Still, he put enough on tape during his time at Notre Dame to warrant him staying a Day 2 pick, even though some recent mock drafts have him falling to the sixth round.

Running backs are usually not taken in the first round, so there could be a run at the position group as we enter Day 2. If Williams does tumble a bit due to his 40-yard dash time at the Combine, he could find a soft landing spot at pick No. 91, where he could be an instant starter for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

After Tom Brady retired, the Bucs are in a bit of a rebuild mode, as they will allow Leonard Fournette and Ronald Jones to test free agency. That means they will have a gaping hole at the running back spot, and if they wait until the third round, they could end up getting a steal with a guy who posted back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons with the Irish.
