Round 5, Pick No. 155: Jack Coan, Minnesota Vikings

On Day 1 of the on-field workouts down in Indianapolis, Jack Coan and Kevin Austin Jr. took the field hoping to prove they were legitimate 2022 NFL Draft prospects. In the end, both players did just that, and I could see both of them hearing their names called this April when all is said and done.

For Coan, he has everything you look for in a potential NFL quarterback, whether it is as a backup or someone who could work their way up to being a starter. He has a rocket for a right arm, barely makes bad decisions, and is a leader on and off the field, someone that will be a great asset to any team next season.

In the fifth round, the Minnesota Vikings hold the No. 155 overall pick, and Coan could be in play for them. Sure, they have a franchise guy in Kirk Cousins, but he has been up and down his entire career, and if the team decided to move on from him after the 2022 season, Coan could step in and fight for the starting job in 2023.
