As we inch closer to seeing if the Notre Dame basketball team will be dancing in 2022, here is the latest bracketology from numerous media outlets.

It is officially Selection Sunday, and today, we will learn the fate of the 2021-22 Notre Dame basketball team. The Irish went 22-10 this season, becoming one of the hottest teams in the country after the calendar moved to 2022, and finished the regular season as the No. 2 seed in the ACC Tournament.

Despite their success, they are not seen as a lock to make the Field of 64, and most of the experts have them playing in the First Four.

CBS Sports

In the final bracketology from CBS Sports, the Irish will have to play one more game if they are to punch their ticket to the Big Dance. The folks at CBS have the Irish playing in the First Four games, taking on San Francisco in a battle of potential No. 11 seeds in the Midwest.

ESPN, Joe Lunardi

Over at ESPN, Joe Lunardi updated his bracketology in the middle of the night, and he has the Irish as one of the last four teams in as well. In his latest bracket projection, the Irish will take on Wyoming as a No. 12 seed in the East, a team that finished with a 25-8 record, but one who really struggled down the stretch.

Sports Illustrated, Kevin Sweeney

As we continue to look at the final bracketology across numerous media outlets, we see a theme, and that theme is that the Irish are going to have to play one more game before punching their ticket to March Madness. While being a member of the 68-team field is technically making the tournament, it is still one more hurdle. Kevin Sweeney of SI has them as one of the last four in.

Bleacher Report, Kerry Miller

Finally, one of the more interesting scenarios comes from Bleacher Report, as the Irish are once again playing in the play-in games, but this time, against a rival school. In this scenario, the Notre Dame basketball team will battle it out against Michigan as No. 12 seeds, with the winner heading to Philadelphia and the East Region.

If the experts are right, the Irish will be playing on either Tuesday or Wednesday night, looking to make it to the field of 64 for the first time since 2017. This is a roster that is built for a possible run, but it seems like one more hurdle remains before we can really start dancing.
