Notre Dame football: Landing Carnell Tate is crucial for the 2023 class

Landing Tate is so important

Currently, the Notre Dame football team has the No. 1 class in the country for the 2023 recruiting cycle per 247Sports.com, this after landing some huge defensive prospects. However, one could argue that wide receiver could be the biggest need for the program next year, and Tate is one of the better players in the country at his position.

According to 247Sports.com, the talented wideout has a Crystal Ball placed on him to go to Ohio State, but things can change from now until signing day. He has loved his time spent in South Bend, and if he happens to be at the Ohio State/Notre Dame game in Week 1, maybe the Irish pull off a big win and sway him towards the program.

Either way, he is a crucial piece for the 2023 class, and a trio of Styles, Merriweather, and Tate would be a tall order for any defensive coordinator.

The Irish are building something special, and you can already see an increase in terms of talent when it comes to the recruiting classes under Marcus Freeman. Tate is as special a player as there is in this 2023 recruiting cycle, and if he can come in join this program, it takes the passing game to brand new heights.
