The Notre Dame football team is likely to roll with Tyler Buchner as the starting quarterback in 2022, and here is how he could end up dominating.

For the 2022 Notre Dame football team, this spring and summer are going to bring another change at the quarterback position. Two different men have started the season opener the last two years, and as both Ian Book and Jack Coan are no longer members of the program, the time has come for a new face to emerge.

Last season, with Coan as the starter, the Irish got strong play from true freshman Tyler Buchner, a playmaking signal-caller from California. Forced to sit out his senior year of high school due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was anybody’s guess as to what the team would get out of him in Year 1, but he exceeded all expectations.

Now, Buchner has the chance to take over for Coan as the starter in South Bend, but to do so, he is going to have to beat out Drew Pyne. Both men should get a ton of reps over the next several months, and when all is said and done, one will have the daunting task of facing Ohio State in the season opener.

Here, we look at how Buchner could end up dominating the college football landscape if he wins the job.
