Notre Dame football will have their Blue-Gold Game on Saturday, and we will get to see what the tandem of Logan Diggs and Audric Estime looks like.

The 2022 Notre Dame football team should be an exciting group to watch this season, and on offense, they have some incredibly talented running backs. Last year, the program brought in two true freshmen in Logan Diggs and Audric Estime, and both are expected to play a big role in the offense in Year 2.

On Saturday, the tandem will be featured together in the Blue-Gold Game, as they are both a member of the Blue team. It will be interesting to see how the Irish use them, and whether they are on the field at the same time, as they have very different running styles.

Jadarian Price will get the nod for the Gold Team, and as a four-star true freshman, he is someone the program is very excited about. Overall, we will see a bunch of the talented running backs the Irish have for the 2022 campaign, a position that is definitely a strength of the team going into this season.

Notre Dame football to lean on deep RB room in 2022

We got to see a lot of Diggs last season, and he showed that he can be a legitimate weapon for this team in the run and passing game. Estime did not get as much run as a freshman, but he has blown away the coaching staff this offseason, and many feel he is going to be the guy if the team gets into the red zone or needs some tough yards based on his size and strength.

One key to keep an eye on in this one is the fact that Tyler Buchner will miss the game, which means Drew Pyne will be the starting quarterback for both the Blue and Gold teams. That could lead to both teams focusing on the run game a bit more, and for the Blue Team, that should certainly be the case with this group in the backfield.
