The Notre Dame football program saw Kyle Hamilton taken with the No. 14 overall pick in Round 1, but will a player come off the board on Day 2?

On night 1 of the 2022 NFL Draft, the Notre Dame football team was represented in a big way, as star safety, Kyle Hamilton was selected with the No. 14 overall pick. Hamilton was picked by the Baltimore Ravens, a perennial playoff contender in the AFC, and a team that could challenge for the Super Bowl with a healthy Lamar Jackson back in 2022.

Now, the attention turns to Day 2 of the 2022 NFL Draft, a day that will feature both rounds 2 and 3. For the Notre Dame football team, this could be a very slow night, as there are not many players in this year’s draft class that are ranked to go on Day 2, so we may not even see one selected across the next two rounds.

However, some players could sneak into the second or third rounds, so make sure you stay locked into the coverage. Notre Dame football always sees players rise up the draft board after the first round, which we saw last year with Ian Book going early in the fourth round, instead of being a sixth or seventh-round pick as predicted.

What: 2022 NFL Draft, Day 2

When: Friday, April 29, 2022

Time: 4 PM PT

Where: Las Vegas, Nevada

Television Station: ABC, ESPN, NFL Network

Live Stream: FuboTV

Players like Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa, Kyren Williams, Kevin Austin Jr., and Jack Coan are all guys who could sneak into the third round. All four were huge parts of a lot of winning in South Bend and would be excellent fits at the next level.

Round 4 through 7 will take place on Saturday, and that is where we could see several Notre Dame football players come off the board. Also, as we saw last year, many Irish players ended up starting their NFL journeys as undrafted rookie free agents, and some were able to stick with their teams, and have started carving out legitimate NFL careers.
