Leadership
One thing that is going to stand out when Coan arrives in Indianapolis is the way he holds himself, as he is an absolute leader. He stepped on campus in South Bend and showed his leadership abilities right out the gate, instantly gaining the respect of both his teammates and his coaching staff.
I believe that is why he was such a coveted undrafted free agent, and the coaching staff in Indy, led by head coach Frank Reich, is going to love what he brings to the building. He has a quiet confidence about him that is going to make his transition to the next level an easy one, allowing him to focus on the playbook and get better every day.
Former Wisconsin teammate Jonathan Taylor has seen first-hand the kind of leader Coan is, as the two led the Badgers to a spot in the Big Ten title game a few years back. You can believe that having an ally like Taylor, the best player on this Colts roster, will go a long way in Coan getting every opportunity to not only make the 53-man but be the No. 2 behind Ryan.
