Notre Dame football: Ranking which 2022 rookie UDFA will make the team

No. 4: Kurt Hinish, NT, Houston Texans

The Houston Texans are another team that will likely struggle in 2022, so landing with them was big for Kurt Hinish. A monster in the middle of the Irish defensive line, Hinish fills a major void on this Texans roster and should catch the eye of new head coach Lovie Smith.

Smith is going to love the way Hinish plays the game, and he comes into the program as a guy with plenty of games under his belt at the collegiate level. This could be a perfect place for Hinish to start his career and possibly help the Texans turn things around.

No. 3: Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa, LB, Las Vegas Raiders

This was a signing I loved, as Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa’s versatility should earn him a long look with the Las Vegas Raiders. With Patrick Graham as their new defensive coordinator, the Raiders will be going to a 3-4 scheme in 2022, and the move to outside linebacker should go a long way for Tagovailoa-Amosa to make this roster.

Las Vegas made the playoffs last season, and are a team on the rise in the AFC, and in Tagovailoa-Amosa, they are getting a player who can fill a few voids on their defense with one player.
