Notre Dame football: Ranking which 2022 rookie UDFA will make the team

No. 2: Kevin Austin Jr., WR, Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars are a team looking to move in the right direction, after the failed experiment of Urban Meyer as their head coach last season. That move ended up being a disaster, and in 2022, with Doug Pederson at the helm, you should see an improved team, as well as the quarterback in Trevor Lawrence.

During the 2022 NFL Draft process, Kevin Austin Jr. was a player who many saw flying up draft boards, and some even had him as a Day 2 pick. He dominated the Combine, but when all was said and done, he was not selected, even though ESPN had him as the best player available for most of Day 3.

Still, he will start his NFL journey this spring and summer, as he was signed as a UDFA by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jacksonville made plenty of changes on offense this offseason, even at wide receiver, but in the end, I believe Austin Jr. being healthy will enable him to turn coaches’ heads and earn him a spot on the 53-man roster.
