The Notre Dame football team landed another huge commitment on Thursday, as offensive lineman Charles Jagusah joins the program.

On Thursday afternoon Notre Dame football stayed hot on the recruiting trail and landed a commitment from 2023 offensive lineman Charles Jagusah. If there’s a near-perfect fit for Notre Dame football that you look for, Jagusah is pretty dang close to it.

His personality along with his high standard of academics make him such a great fit for Notre Dame. He knew the Irish were going to be hard to pass on and he didn’t want to wait any longer to pull the trigger.

It came down to Michigan and Notre Dame late in the process but ultimately he decided on the Irish and the prestige of the university, along with the offensive line tradition in South Bend. At the moment, Charles Jagusah holds 16 offers from the likes of Michigan, LSU, Iowa, Wisconsin, and many more.

What will Jagusah bring to the Notre Dame football program?

The 6-6 308-pound offensive lineman is going to bring it all up front and along the line. He’s a pro typical size lineman and his stature is striking. He has quick feet for his size and moves extremely easy. His burst is noticeable of the snap and he has great hip flexibility.

He holds a low pad level so he’s usually on the winning side when he get ahold of his defender. He doesn’t really seem like an aggressive and a mauler of a player but that’s exactly what he is. He’s nasty and will play with a violet steak you don’t want to matchup with.

Watch out when he adds muscle mass and strength to his frame. He could be the next Quenton Nelson if he can add some much-needed strength. I can’t wait to see him get in the weight room and with offensive line coach Harry Hiestand. That could be quite the player-coach duo.

With Jagusah making his commitment public, the 2023 class now holds 16 pledges with 8 on offense and 8 on defense. His pledge moves the Irish back up to the number one spot in the 2023 recruiting class, passing Ohio State and Texas.

It seems the offensive line recruiting is all but done for the 2023 position group, with Charles Jagusah joining Sullivan Absher, Elijah Paige, Sam Pendleton, and Joe Otting to make it a 5 lineman class. Harry Hiestand doesn’t mess around and he got his guys locked in. OLU continues on for the Irish.
