The Notre Dame football program is having an incredible summer in terms of recruiting and was recently named a winner for the month of June.

It seems like every single day the Notre Dame football program is stacking talent for either their 2023 or 2024 recruiting classes. Head coach Marcus Freeman and his staff have done an excellent job adding elite players, and the program currently holds the No. 1 class for both the 2023 and 2024 cycles.

Recently, Chris Peterson from SaturdayBlitz.com put together his list of the five schools that were big winners in recruiting for the month of June. The Notre Dame football team was listed as the No. 4 team, thanks to the incredible haul they have brought in.

All told, Notre Dame got commitments for both the 2023 and 2024 recruiting classes, including CJ Carr, a five-star quarterback from Michigan whose grandfather is former Wolverines head coach, Lloyd Carr. That commitment ended the chances of the Irish landing Dante Moore, another five-star quarterback from Michigan, but it also improves the Irish chances of adding more elite talent.

Notre Dame football recruiting on another level

It has been an incredible few weeks for the Irish, as they not only landed Carr, but have brought in speedy cornerback Micah Bell, four-star offensive lineman Charles Jagusah, and Cam Williams just in the last week. It is clear that Freeman and his staff have gained an edge we have not seen in a very long time when it comes to recruiting, and now, the Irish are not only putting together top-10 classes, which they have in the past but top-5.

Going into his first season as the head coach of the Irish, Freeman has some lofty expectations on him, especially with so many potential NFL Draft picks on the roster. The future is certainly bright going forward, and after landing so many elite prospects, Notre Dame football has returned to being a national title contender.
