The Notre Dame football team should be one of the best in the country in 2022, especially if these two position groups surprise in a good way.

We are just a few weeks away from the start of the 2022 college football season, and for the Notre Dame football team, expectations are high. The Irish have a daunting schedule ahead of them, and a first-year head coach, but there is enough talent on both sides of the ball to hang with anyone they take the field against.

Here, we look at one position on each side of the ball that could surprise in a good way in 2022.
